Whilst in Norway we travelled to Horten to watch a friend of my mates who place drums in a band called Izzy Dizzy. The bank are from Rhodes but had been on a rock cruise so they had arranged a gig so their Norwegian fans can attend.

We had a few hours to kill so we headed out to enjoy a few drinks in Horten and stumbled across the Saxon King.

This old school bar has a great atmosphere with plenty of screen showing the football.

The beer prices were not bad either with a pint of the local pilsner coming in at £7.60, a welcomed surprice after Oslo and the hotel!

There is also a free pool table in the covered outside area. A great space that is out of the cold wind and rain.

Overall it is a great pub. The locals were really friendly and event greatful that we have visited Horten, a town they are abviously proud of. For us it was great to get out and about and meet people and this place is perfect for that. Loved it!
