I am in Leeds tomorrow for meetings so rather than setting off at 5am and battling through the traffic I decided to book a hotel. I have stayed here many times over the years but in more recent times I had a girlfriend in Leeds so I have not used the hotel too often. Sadly that relationship has come to an end so back to the hotel it is!

This is a busy hotel with a leisure centre and sports bar so parking can be a challenge. The room itself was only £57 including breakfast which is probably the cheapest I have seen it, normally it would be £80-£100. I had to also pay £5 to park but I guess that is often the case in hotels and if I wasnt in a car I woulding want it adding to the room rate.

I was given room 135 which is handly for the stairs to get down to the bar but the view isn’t great but I am not too worried about that. It is also an accessible room so I have a walk in shower and the sink is a bit low. Twin beds too so I hope I dont fall out of it during the night!

The rooms are modern with ts near the beds from what I can see but I will check properly later. The bar can be very busy expecially when the football is on as it has some huge TV screens. Members of the leisure centre also get discount so there is a lot going on at times. It has a great selection of beers, wines and spirits and very reasonably priced. ITs not what I would call comfortable but it has plenty of atmosphere and there are some more comfortable seats in reception.

I optend to eat in the hotel rather than going out for food. Steak and chips came in at £32, the steak was nice and perfectly cooked but the chips were a bit too crispy.

Free WiFi which is great as Premier Inn charges £5 for 24 hours for WiFi what is worth having. The speeds are great too so its handy for work or entertainment during your stay.

Breakfast was decent apart from the powdered scrambled eggs. Everything was hot, even the plate as the plate warmer was switched on, something that is often not the case in hotels.
