Due to leaving booking a hotel late for an awards and it being close to bonfire night we couldnt get in to our normal hotel so we thought we would try the Marlin apartments. Located just behind Waterloo Station and the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge this hotel is in a decent location with easy access to the South Bank through the graffitti daubed Leake Street. When we arrived at the hotel to collect the keys for the apartments a couple of doors down we were asked if we would take a suite in the hotel instead. As we were not going to be in the room much this wasnt an issue so we agreed.

We were given room number 330, a corner suite which comprised of a bedroom, bathroom and a lounge with a kitchenette and a sofa bed. I didnt mind taking the sofa bed and letting my colleague have the bedroom.

Roomservice arrived a few minutes after we got in the room to make the sofa bed up, this did mean you had to climb over it to reach the other side of the room but it wasnt a big issue.

The main bedroom was comfortable but had a very small TV so if you are spending a lot of time in the room you may find yourself watching tv on your phone rather than the TV!

The bathroom was very clean with ample towels and a decent shower.
All in all this is a decent base if you are down in London, especially as a family. There is a convenience store next door and having the kitchen including a dish washer means you could cook to keep the cost of the trip down but there are so many food options in the area that I wouldnt bother cooking. I didnt use the bar as we were at an event in the evening and we didnt have breakfast but the bar/restaurant area was well funished and had a compfortable and luxurious feel just like the reception.
Great hotel and I will certainly consider it for future London trips and hopefully I can add to this review at that point.
